A bed turned shelf

This piece has earned a spot in our top 3 pieces. We found a twin size headboard and footboard on one of our yard sale pages. Someone posted a picture of a shelf from etsy that someone upcycled into a shelf. Of course we had to have it so I sent Pat out the next day to get it.

It is perfection! Pat did his thing which included his special paint technique :) it is perfect and the mason jars just pull it all together.

For your viewing pleasure......

Transformed coffee table

I was bored with my existing coffee table and we happened to score a coffee table at a yard sale over the weekend. Here is what is started out like....54x27. Way too long for our living room.

Pat cut it down to 36" which is much more manageable. He added some wood on the sides to make it more square. Painted the legs then added foam, batting and really pretty fabric. Lots of tugging, stapling, more tugging and some more staples later.....we have this beauty.

A simple before and after

Not much to say. Ugly side table.....pat painted, sanded and put on new hardware. We posted it for sale and it was out the door within 24 hours!

It's been a while.....

It has been a while since we have posted. But rest assured, Pat has been busy!
On their way out the door in 5 minutes are these super cool letter shelves. They were a custom request for 2 precious little boys. Hoping they love them! I now need a M one for our living room.

Ok....we lied....

We now have a new favorite piece. Seriously, this tops everything! This is not only practical but beautiful. Pat sanded, filled, repainted and took out some drawers. This is now in our dining room and it holds so much! Crayons, paper, office supplies, mail, schoolwork for the kids, placemats and more! It is exactly what we needed.

Before shot first, which was still amazing! But the drawers all needed some work to slide smoothly. Then the after shots. This makes us happy.

Who doesn't love wine?

and who doesn't love to display those fancy bottles?  Problem solved.......here you go.  A reclaimed wooden pallet re-purposed into a practical wine bottle and wine glass holder. This can easily accommodate 5 bottles of wine and 5 wine glasses.  If you would like one of these, they can be made in your stain choice for $35.

Our new favorite piece

We were doing our daily search on Craigslist and we found this really old vintage crib headboard and footboard.  This was bought with the intention of making a new bench for our living room.  We had sold both of the converted dresser benches and something prettier had to go in its place.

Here is a picture prior to get chopped.  The detailing is fabulous.

Now it is starting to take shape!!!  A little chopping, sanding, gluing, nailing.

And here it is!  We love it! It needs a permanent cushion but we can't decide what color or texture to go with it.  In the meantime.......We love it.
